Meet Nicole

Growing up right here in Kendall County, Nicole Bishop’s conservative values run deep. The daughter of a federal law enforcement agent, Nicole was raised to seek justice, defend the innocent, and to serve and protect others. Nicole has dedicated her entire career to fighting crime as a Texas prosecutor. She is devoted to keeping Kendall County families safe.

Nicole is the daughter of long time Kendall County residents, Jack and Alexis Short. She graduated from Boerne High School, is a proud Texas Aggie, and attended law school at Ole Miss, graduating with honors in the criminal law concentration program. She is married to Boerne High School teacher and baseball coach, Bryan Bishop, and they have one young daughter. Their family attends First Baptist Church of Boerne.

In addition to her duties as District Attorney, Nicole gives back to our community by supporting or volunteering her time to numerous community, service, professional, and non-profit organizations throughout Kendall County.

Tough-On-Crime Conservative

Appointed by Governor Abbott, Bishop is a strong, experienced, crime fighting conservative. With a decade of experience prosecuting every type of crime, she works hard to keep our families safe.

Defender Of The Constitution

Nicole is strong defender of the 2nd Amendment, and believes in upholding the laws of this country and the State of Texas.  She will never support liberal policies such as decriminalizing drug offenses or ignoring immigration laws.

Eminently Qualified

Governor Abbott appointed Nicole to be our first Kendall County Criminal District Attorney because of her extensive background as a rural prosecutor, criminal trial experience, dedication to the Kendall County community, and commitment to do the right thing. Nicole’s tireless efforts to keep Kendall County safe is why she has been so effective. Her success is a great source of pride for our community. Nicole established and built our newly created District Attorney's Office, and her leadership is critical for the continued success off the office. There is no room for someone to learn on the job, and Nicole already has the experience to handle all of the duties of her office.

Nicole has prosecuted thousands of criminal cases and continuously fights to put away violent criminals, sexual predators, and drug dealers selling to our children. For a decade, she has ensured justice for victims of almost every crime from petty theft to murder. As District Attorney, Nicole strictly follows the law and adheres the Constitution.
